Bangladesh had the highest number of LEED-certified factories in a single year in 2022, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association president Faruque Hassan said in a statement.
The US Green Building Council has certified two more garment factories in Bangladesh with gold rating.
This takes the total number of LEED factories in the country to 2022.
Out of that, 73 are rated platinum, 115 gold and 10 silver.
Thirty factories received LEED certification last year.
In the first eight months this year, 20 units have earned this recognition.
