The acquisition was made through OTB’s subsidiary Staff International, and the investment aims to optimise Italian craftsmanship and promote a more sustainable supply chain. The move is part of OTB’s efforts to safeguard and pass on the Made in Italy savoir-faire to future generations, the company said in a LinkedIn post.
OTB Group has acquired a majority stake in Florentine leather goods firm Frassineti, already a supplier of luxury goods to Jil Sander.
The move is aimed at promoting sustainability and optimising Italian craftsmanship in the supply chain.
Frassineti’s MD Gaia Frassineti will continue in her role as the firm transitions to a more sustainable business model.
Gaia Frassineti will continue in her role as managing director of Frassineti, while the OTB Group will support the brand in its transition to a more sustainable business model by providing technological know-how and expertise in sustainability.
“The brands in our group’s luxury division share a strong focus on the craftsmanship of their products and on use of raw materials of the highest quality, something only made possible by collaboration with companies like Frassineti, which make the fashion supply chain unique in Italy and around the world. These are the companies, and this is the expertise that power our country, and we have to continue investing in them,” said OTB Group chairman and founder Renzo Rosso.
