    UK GDP up estimated 1.2% YoY in Q2 2025: ONS



    UK gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have increased by 0.3 per cent quarter on quarter (QoQ) and 1.2 per cent year on year (YoY) in the second quarter (Q2) this year following an increase of 0.7 per cent QoQ in Q1, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

    In output terms, the Q2 growth was driven by increases of 0.4 per cent in services and 1.2 per cent in construction, while the production sector fell by 0.3 per cent.

    UK GDP is estimated to have risen by 0.3 per cent quarter on quarter (QoQ) and 1.2 per cent YoY in Q2 2025 following a 0.7-per cent rise QoQ in Q1.
    In output terms, the Q2 growth was driven by increases of 0.4 per cent in services and 1.2 per cent in construction, while the production sector fell by 0.3 per cent.
    Real GDP per head is estimated to have grown by 0.2 per cent QoQ and 0.7 per cent YoY in Q2.

    Monthly UK GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.4 per cent in June this year, with growth in all three sectors.

    Nominal GDP is estimated to have increased by 0.8 per cent QoQ and 5.3 per cent YoY in Q2 2025, an ONS release said.
